The Aeola H. Brennemann Library Foundation was organized for the purpose of providing additional funding for use in the operation of the Grant County Library. The Foundation supports the library with additional equipment and items needed for library enhancement.

Battle Creek Community Development is a newly formed organization with the goal of continuing to improve our community. We want BC to continue to be a place our citizens can be proud of both today and in the future. The BC pool has been identified as a project in our community that needs major rehab. The pool, along with other community improvements will be the focus of this organization.
Towering 800 feet above the North Platte River, Scotts Bluff has served as a landmark for peoples from Native Americans to emigrants on the Oregon, California and Mormon Trails to modern travelers. Rich with geological and paleontological history as well as human history, there is much to discover while exploring the 3,000 acres of Scotts Bluff National Monument.
The Cedar County Historical Society was formed back in 1963 by a group of enthusiastic Cedar County residents who had a vision to preserve the history of Cedar County. The historical museum was moved to its current and permanent location in 1964 following the donation of the main museum house, carriage barn and the land by the four daughters of A.K. (Anton Kasper) and Clara Walz Lammers in memory of their parents and the part they played in the early development of Cedar County. The daughters requested that the home and barn be used as a museum to preserve the history and culture of Cedar County.
The Cortland Museum building was built in 1894 and started as an Oddfellows Hall and Modern Woodman of American Hall. It was also used as a boarding house for a short time. The museum has information on the people, businesses, buildings, and military information of those that served from the community.

Dixon County Historical Society
With exhibits representing the lives of Dixon County residents from 1856 through today, the Dixon County Historical Society Museum is a fascinating look back at the history of Dixon County. Located in Allen, the Museum features items from the schools, churches, homes and farms of former county residents:
Dwight Community Library offers internet access, copying services, a public restroom, periodicals, DVDs and CDs for check out in addition to an extensive collection of fine literature.
Elkhorn’s history was first documented in the book, “1867-1967 Elkhorn, Nebraska, The First Century of Progress,” which was compiled and produced by the Elkhorn Women’s Club Centennial Book Committee. Today the effort to preserve Elkhorn’s proud past continues through the efforts of Patsy Schmidt and the Elkhorn Historical Society.

The Genoa U.S. Indian School Foundation is a nonprofit organization created in 1990 by a dedicated group of local volunteers. Their mission is to collect and preserve the history of the Genoa U.S. Indian Industrial School and promote the heritage of the school, which was in operation from 1884 to 1934.
Gibbon Heritage Center Foundation
The Gibbon Heritage Center is responsible for the collection and preservation of artifacts, documents, records and printed materials relating to the history of Gibbon and the surrounding area. These items are housed in the Gibbon Heritage Center museum. The public can come to the museum to learn about the history of Gibbon and the surrounding area. The Gibbon Heritage Center is located at 2nd and Court Street.
The mission of the Haigler Community Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit charitable foundation is to improve quality of life in Haigler and Dundy County, Nebraska through community service offerings; and to encourage tax deductible donations for continuing operations of the Haigler Museums and Cornerstone Center for Community Service (former closed Haigler School buildings, now a major event center for the area).

Hitchcock County Historical Society
The Hitchcock County Historical Society (HCHS) is a non-profit organization located in Trenton, Nebraska. The mission of the HCHS is to collect, preserve, and share the history of Hitchcock County. The HCHS building was built in 1908 and houses the Hitchcock County Historical Museum, which displays a variety of artifacts, documents, and photographs that tell the story of the county’s past.

Keya Paha County Library
Keya Paha County Library is located at 118 Main Street in Springview, NE, the library services the area with thousands of books. Plus, they proudly offer audio books, cake pans, movies, magazines, and have visiting attractions. A meeting room is available for public use as well. Computers and internet access are available for use. Story hour is held the first Tuesday of each month.
Legacy of the Plains Museum
The Legacy of the Plains Museum, situated on the Oregon Trail, boasts a considerable collection of early, pioneer and frontier community curios and souvenirs, tractors of a bygone era, and farm implements that transport you to different time. There is even an 80-acre farm very much in use today. Historic barnyards and homesteads that hold you spellbound and to-die-for views of Scotts Bluff National Monument. Every inch of the Nebraska prairie has a story to tell.
The Museum of the Fur Trade, standing on the site of the James Bordeaux’s trading post that was established for the American Fur Company in 1837, began as a plan – at the time, only a dream – in the minds of its founders. A half of a century later, it has become an institution whose collections and research are known and respected worldwide.
The Nebraska Jewish Historical Society was founded in 1982 by Mary Arbitman Fellman and Oliver Pollak to collect, publish and display materials which pertain to the family, business and social histories of the Jewish Community of Nebraska and Council Bluffs. The NJHS is a non-profit (501(c)(3) organization.
The North Bend Area Chamber of Commerce works to support the local business community in North Bend, Morse Bluff and the surrounding area. It believes a thriving and prosperous community is necessary to supporting a thriving and prosperous business community. The Chamber sponsors Old Settlers, a free community holiday pancake feed, a Christmas lighting contest and other activities and events throughout the year.
Otoe County is rich in history and tradition, and was one of the first counties established in the Nebraska Territory. It hosts several prominent landmarks and famous personalities in Nebraska history, to include Arbor Lodge and J. Sterling Morton of the Nebraska City area. The Otoe County Courthouse is the oldest public building in Nebraska. It was erected 1864. Our society is dedicated to ensuring that our Otoe County heritage is remembered, our communities are preserved, and our ancestors are acknowledged for the sacrifices they made to become an important part of the Great State of Nebraska.
In the sinter of 1972, the First Evangelical Lutheran Church disbanded and the church council gave the church, parsonage, and the lots at 366 Poplar St to the county museum society. The society, volunteers from The Old Church Art Guild, along with help from state-funded elderly Green Thumb workers program created exhibits and the Otoe County Museum of Memories was dedicated on June 24, 1973.
The old railroad depot was built in 1880 and the last train came through in 1978. After being vacant for a number of years and a possibility of being razed, various citizens restored both floors of the depot and moved all of the historical items into its current location. The Historical Society maintains the museum and it is open May through Labor Day
Explore the archives and unique displays to be found in the historic collection of Ashton’s Polish Heritage Center Museum. Artifacts and genealogical records document the history of Polish settlers in this part of Nebraska. Communities such as Ashton, Farwell, Paplin, Loup city and Elba emerged as a result of 19th century efforts by the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America (PRCUA) to establish Polish colonies around the United States to preserve the culture and religion of the Polish homeland. Even today, Sherman County Nebraska has one of the highest percentages of Polish Americans in the U.S.
The Prairie Arts Center is a non-profit in downtown North Platte, NE, that provides opportunities for creative self-expression through exhibits, classes, concerts, & a variety of community events.
As a public library located in Rising City, NE, we are proud to have been given the opportunity to house much of Rising City’s history including Rising City Public School memorabilia and yearbooks, American Legion John Saylor Unit #146 Auxiliary records and other assorted photos and records available for public viewing.
Welcome to the Robert Henri Museum and Art Gallery located in Cozad, Nebraska. Robert Henri (formerly Robert Henry Cozad) was one of America’s greatest artists and one of its most important art instructors. In our environmentally controlled gallery, built in 2014, you will find the largest collection of Henri’s work on display, or attributed to him, than anywhere else in this country.

St. Michaels Historical Society – Tarnov is a nonprofit organization located in Tarnov, Nebraska, dedicated to preserving the history and cultural heritage of the local community. Wildwood Historic Center is an historical institution operated by the city of Nebraska City consisting of three buildings at 420 Steinhart Park Road. The 1869 Ware Family home is a ten-room Gothic-Revival house used as an interpretive museum to educate guests about day-to-day life in the Victorian era (1837-1901). Special exhibits are unveiled throughout the season while the decor and staff attire changes monthly to reflect a certain time of year, an important family event, or holiday celebration. A classroom is located behind the house and used for various events throughout the year.
The Willa Cather Foundation—formerly the Willa Cather Pioneer Memorial—is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the work of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Willa Cather and preserving the historical settings and archival material associated with her life and writings. Since its founding in 1955, the Foundation has been headquartered in Cather’s hometown of rural Red Cloud, Nebraska.
