The history of our state is built on the legacies of those who came before us. With your planned gift, you can make preserving this history part of your own legacy. Remembering the Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation as part of your estate plan is a great way to support Nebraska’s history.
Two of our Foundation’s greatest benefactors were Colonel Barney and Vada Oldfield. One of their many generous donations to the Foundation was the condo in downtown Lincoln which our organization resides in to this day. In their memory, we have established the Oldfield Brigade planned-giving club.
Over the years, the Foundation has been fortunate to receive numerous estate gifts. The only downside to these wonderful gifts is that we often did not have the opportunity to thank and celebrate donors while they were still alive. The Oldfield Brigade allows us to do just that, by recognizing our donors who have planned future donations to us.
If you are considering making a planned gift, please contact us. We are happy to discuss more with you about the planned giving process, as well as your intentions for your planned gift.
